Ahab Goes To Rehab

Breaking Self-Destructive Behaviors

By William Henne

King Ahab, a descendant of the wisest king in history, was such a passive, insecure leader that it was no wonder he would marry Jezebel, a controlling, deceiving, manipulative queen. Today, we would call Ahab an Enabler. This book provides a path to identifying areas where you may be used and abused and provides methods and approaches you can use to overcome.  Yes, you could be an Ahab! Do you think that you could be an enabler?

You could be an Ahab if:

  • You often have buyer’s remorse.
  • You are seen as an ineffective leader.
  • You treat others better than yourself.
  • You are easily manipulated.
  • You are drained helping others.
  • You tend to always agree with others.
  • You want peace at any price.
  • You beat yourself up mentally.
  • You are tired of being the go between.

For sure, life is a 4 letter word. When we go through the circumstances of life, we can sometimes be shocked at our response of the trial on the trail, become fearful, expose guilt, get angry, start the blame game, take on shame or enter into despair. Most can even see a pattern of how they have been dealing with circumstances. Like the foot prints on a beach or a route through the woods, our walk often makes a path that over time becomes quite evident. Therefore, in healing you will be looking for these patterns, the highs, the lows, and the emotions.

This book provides methods and approaches to become healthier with protective emotional barriers. These new walls of protection empower past enablers to maintain new lives. Unfortunate for King Ahab, because he did not make it, but you can.
